Dental

The Rockbridge Area Health Center offers family dentistry at 2 convenient locations, the main office at 25 Northridge Lane in Lexington, as well as Mountain View Family Dentistry, located at 2131 Magnolia Avenue, in Buena Vista. We provide dental care for the whole family from infants and school-age children to adolescents, adults, and seniors. RAHC is concerned about your dental health at every stage of growth and development. Young children should be introduced to regular dental care and good oral hygiene. Young adults should find time for regular dental check ups to avoid problems as they mature, and dental care for the elderly is important to assure good chewing function for optimal nutrition.  The dental team accepts most dental insurances and the Dental Benefits Coordinator will verify plan benefits before the visit.  Both service sites offer additional savings to the insured and uninsured people based on household size and income. Both accept most dental discount plans, as well as CareCredit.

In-school Program

Save a trip to the dentist!  RAHC partners with area schools to improve access to dental services for children by providing in-school examinations twice a year.   These services will be exactly like those that your children have in the office.  Tooth decay is the most common chronic disease in children, and dental disease accounts for one million lost school hours in Virginia each year and chronic oral infections are linked to diabetes, heart disease, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Each school will send a consent form home. Please fill out the consent form and return it to the school before the in-school program is scheduled to visit the school. Every child must have consent form completely annually. For more information about our In-school Program, contact the Rockbridge Area Health Center at 540.464.8700.
