Autumn Kelland
Autumn Kelland, MA is a Resident in Counseling, working with adolescents and families.
Autumn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Southern Virginia University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Autumn provides holistic care to adolescents using a Person-Centered, Strengths-Based approach to counseling. She collaborates with patients on goal setting to offer hope for healing and uses mindfulness strategies for calm reflection. With a background in painting, drawing, and ceramics, she integrates expressive arts into treatment, promoting resilience and self-esteem. She is sensitive to the needs of those with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and in her previous work with adolescents, she used cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, and equine-assisted interventions to develop social, emotional, and relational skills. Autumn reminds her clients that they are important and is grateful to be able to give youth their own voice and share resources with them.
Having lived in several states, Autumn has enjoyed living in Rockbridge County for over 7 years and appreciates the opportunity to serve the needs of adolescents and families in her community. She enjoys spending time with her four children and husband exploring Virginia, attending music events, and caring for their many pets. Autumn also finds time to be creative through cooking, sewing, and art projects, along with embarrassing her children through her dance and karaoke skills.
